Succinctly — be good and good things will happen to you. In short, that is dharma and karma. Most families raise their children to follow dharmic principles, how to be an upstanding member of society and fulfill responsibilities. Doing so brings you beneficial results. This is called karmaphala – the fruits of your actions. You get what you give. So, if you fulfill your dharma, do right by others, AND if you avoid creating more karma, you’ll have a good life, yes? Yes. And no. You will have a good life, but you’ll feel like something is missing. And it is. YOU are missing. Your deeper essence, your innermost stuff and substance is hidden…
