Most families raise their children to follow dharmic principles, how to be an upstanding member of society and fulfill responsibilities. Doing so brings you beneficial results. This is called karmaphala – the fruits of your actions. You get what you give. So, if you fulfill your dharma, do right by others, AND if you avoid creating more karma, you’ll have a good life, yes?
